Fall means harvest and harvest means wine festivals! The South Jersey Wine & Food Festival is New Jersey’s premiere wine-related event and one worth the 2 hour drive to Mays Landing.

Make It A Weekend: The South Jersey Wine & Food Festival

Everyone loves a weekend getaway but very few, except those steeped in the wine world, consider heading to a festival as a getaway. Wine festivals, though, are the perfect getaway. The South Jersey Wine & Food festival is no exception and the perfect getaway for the weekend in gorgeous Mays Landing, NJ.

Enjoy New Jersey Wine & Food

The South Jersey Wine & Food Festival features about 20 New Jersey wines as well as local food. Guests can sample and buy wines as well as check out live music and watch culinary demonstrations. The festival includes local artisans and wine novelty shops selling their goods, which is always fun. And while you might think that a wine festival would come with a lot of snobbery, this event is relaxed and enjoyable for the whole family. It has steel drums, after all, which are the epitome of chill.

For a little romance, buy a bottle and head to the wine garden. It offers amazing views of the lake. If you’re coming with friends, be sure to check out the adult games section which will offer corn hole, wine pong, connect 4, huge Jenga, chess, checkers, dominoes, foosball and ping pong! It’s the best event for couples, families, and groups of friends.

This year, attendees will be asked to vote for their favorite red, white and overall wines. Local home winemakers will also participate in a winemaking contest. Whether you’ve been to the event every year or have never checked it out, this is the year to get to the South Jersey Wine & Food Festival.
