Shipping Policy

Local Delivery

We offer free delivery to various Jersey City neighborhoods. We require a minimum purchase of $25 for delivery to historic downtown (zip: 07302), minimumn $50 for surrounding neighborhoods (zip: 07304, 07306), and $100 minimum to Hoboken & the Heights (zip: 07030, 07307)

In-Store Pickup

We offer free in-store pickup to all customers.  Please include any special requests in the notes section.  On pickup, please bring your confirmation receipt as well as a photo i.d. This ensures that you are indeed receiving your purchase.  If you wil have someone other than the authorized cardholder picking up the purchase, you must indicate this in the comments section, send us an email, or notify managing personnel otherwise.  

Shipping to the Continental US

We ship via FedEx Ground and mandate shipping insurance on each parcel.  Rates quoted include FedEx shipping costs, materials, and handling fees. Standard shipping material meets all insurance and safety compliance set forth by FedEx.  You can track your order via FedEx.com using the tracking number provided in your confirmation email.  Due to internal system restrictions, the site will only allow up to 8 case shipments.  Please contact us for shipments greater than 8 cases. You must be 21 years or older to place and receive shipments.  If no Adult is present to sign for a shipment, FedEx will try again for the next two consecutive business days. FedEx will leave their phone number at your door to arrange for a convenient pick-up time.  If you arrange for pick-up FedEx will hold the shipment for 5 business days.  After those 5 days, the shipment will return to Jersey Wine Merchants and additional shipping charges may apply for re-shipping. Adult Signature is required for all purchases.

Styrofoam Shipping Option

To better serve and protect your wine shipments, we offer a styrofoam packaging option.  This option will ensure the safe handling and delivery of your wine.  We highly recommend that you choose this option during the summer months. Styrofoam shipping rates are calculated on a different table than regular pulp cardboard rates. 

State Shipping Restrictions

Due to varying state legislature we are unable to ship wine to some states.  Currently we do not ship to 16 states: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,  South Dakota, Texas, and Utah.  This is governed by your local state government. If you happen to live a restricted shipping zone or state, you will not be able to complete your purchase on this site.  We'd like to be able to ship to you. Write your local Senator, asking to allow out-of-state shipping. See Free the Grapes for more information.

Hot and Cold Weather Shipping

In extreme heat or cold, we may notify you that we will hold your order until the extreme weather has passed. We want you to receive the best quality product as possible and extreme weather may affect the contents of your wine. If you would like us to deliver the wine, then we highly recommend using the styrofoam option.  This will protect your wine from the adverse weather conditions. Otherwise, we will hold your wine at no extra cost in our temperature controlled storage until the extreme weather has passed. 

Return Policy

If your shipment has been damaged in transit, then our required FedEx shipping insurance will cover the return. If you would like to return your wines due to other reasons, you must contact store personnel and send the items back in their orginal packaging. Your return is subject to a 20% restocking fee.
